30. November 2009: Vocals done! Update from the studio Uulekelerssiheke! This is Jules from the studio and I'm glad to say that vocals are now totally recorded by my side. We're most likely to have some very interesting guest vocals to the album as well but behalf of my part, I can say, I'm finished (hahahahah)... We had seven days booked for the vox parts and I'm proud to say that we only needed six. First couple of days were a bit difficult. Too much stress because of the rush I'm in at the moment but thanks to the competent skills of our producer/songwriter/guitarist Wallu we got the train on the right tracks. After that it was like recording rain drops in the amazon ;)... We recorded 14 songs plus intro & outro. Most likely we're putting 12 songs on the album and it's not going to be an easy pick. I like all of 'em and it's going to be a battle of choosing the best ones 'cause they're all the best ones. I have to say, what we're doing at the moment is very spectacular. So much emotions in this album. As you probably agree with me, we have never done things the most ordinary way - ordinary equals boring. This album is definately going to be much heavier than the debut. It has parts for you to scream for, it has parts for you to cry for. We also have a very strong working title for the album which we're most probably going to keep. It's C**********, HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA! 13. October 2009: Drum tracking starts - RIP Gus Chambers Hey there, friends and fellow followers of the Sun! The production of the second album is in full swing. As has happened before, the band has too many songs and no filler that could easily be discarded. And that's a good thing. So far things are shaping up to be heavy and slightly unusual. Which is also a good thing. There's also an album title floating around, but we can't tell you quite yet... On Oct 13, Waldemar and Daniel will start tracking the drums. One year ago on this very date, Gus Chambers passed away.  Gus has played with Walde in Grip Inc. for ten years. Needless to say, he is sadly missed, especially since he played a show with Enemy Of The Sun mere weeks before his death. So the band is playing in his memory... R.I.P. Gus. Back to work. Power On! 11. September 2009: ENEMY OF THE SUN start production of second album Friends! Long time no see, huh? That means there's a lot of things to talk about. It doesn't mean we were lazy. So where do we start? With new music! Enemy Of The Sun have started the production of the follow-up to "Shadows". Expect large amounts heaviness, but as always with a twist or two. The album should be done by the end of the year, a release for spring 2010 is planned. Production will be handled by the man himself, Mr. Waldemar Sorychta. More info from the studio as the metal unfolds... Stay tuned. And fasten your seatbelts. In other news, Enemy just returned from a trip to Finland, home to their own scream god, Mr. Jules Näveri. The band played there for the first time, but not for the last. Thanks to all who attended those three hot and sweaty club shows. Kiitos!  Power On! 17. October 2008: New show for 2009 Friends, the summer rocked! We played every one of the big metal festivals in Germany (Wacken, WFF, Summer Breeze, Rock Hard) and a couple of cool smaller ones. Not bad for a band touring their debut album, eh? And we played a special show at Walde's "living room", ie. the Zeche in Bochum, with Gus Chambers, his old buddy from the Grip Inc. days. The set of Grip classic featuring Alla and Daniel on bass and drums went down a storm. Currently we're working on more Enemy shows and looking for the right tour. And 2009... new music? What do you think? 16. August 2008: Regarding the ENEMY OF THE SUN show with Gus Chambers (GRIP INC.) The following is a message from Waldemar Sorychta regarding the show his band ENEMY OF THE SUN will play with his former GRIP INC. colleague Gus Chambers: ----- Many people have asked questions about this show. Here are some answers. Is this a reunion? No, this is and will be a very exclusive show. No reunion. How long will the GRIP INC. set be? We are planing about 40 minutes. And here's the full plan to clear up all misunderstandings: ENEMY OF THE SUN will play a regular set (40 min), then the band will play a complete set of GRIP INC. songs with Gus Chambers for about 40 min, including songs from the last album 'Incorporated', for which the band did not tour. Zechen Summer Noise Pt. I – Open Air: ENEMY OF THE SUN featuring a set of GRIP INC. songs with Gus Chambers: 16.08.2008 D-Bochum, Zeche Special Guests: Shotgun Wedding + Positive Strike This marks a reunion of two main players of this seminal Thrash band, that also featured drummer Dave Lombardo (Slayer) on their four records from 1995 to 2004. December 2007: Waldemar to attend Release Party in New York Waldemar Sorychta will attend the CD-release party for ENEMY OF THE SUN's debut, "Shadows", on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Europa in Brooklyn, New York (an event hosted by The End Records as part of the bi-monthly NWOBHM nights at the venue). Throughout the night he will meet all you guys that show up while music from "Shadows" is being played. There will also be live performances from four metal bands.
